Myanmar authorities subjecting Muslims with their names

Myanmar authorities have arrested seven Rohingya Muslims out of 25 people those were subjected to investigations due to their names and they are wanted by the government says security personnel.

A reporter of Arakan News Agency said that police in the town of Goudawthara in Arakan state asked to bring any Rohingyas named Mohammad or Ismail to police headquarters for questioning in connection with Rohingya rebels.

The reporter added that 25 Rohingya have been brought to the police headquarters, they were divided into two groups before the interrogation, then the authorities released the first group, while the other group was arrested, most of them were elderly and later they were transferred to an unknown location.

The sources pointed out that the detainees were: Maulvi Mohammed Abdul Kader (70 years), Maulvi Mohammad Qasim Mohammad Jalil (51 years), Ismail Ullah (55 years), Ismail Mohammed Hussain (65), Ismail Fadel Ahmed (50 years), Muhammad Hussein Saeed Rahman (49 years old), Maulvi Mohammad Qasim and Mohammed Amin (62 years).
