Myanmar Army fires at a Rohingya child in no man’s land

Myanmar border guards shot and wounded a Rohingya boy in Bangladeshi border area at his leg.

Arakan News Agency reporter said the boy, who was close to the border fence, was shot by Myanmar government troops, although he did nothing to raise doubts or suspicions.

More than 6,000 Rohingya refugees have been stranded in the border area and have refused to return home before the Myanmar authorities guaranteed their lives and not to be targeted.

According to media sources, Dil Muhammed, Rohingya’s leader, said a Myanmar soldier shot at a group of 15 to 20 boys playing soccer in Kunabara in no man’s land.

The Daily Star reported that the Bangladeshi border guards had taken the boy to the Red Crescent hospital in Kutubalong.
