Unknown gunmen set fire to a number of homes belonging to Rohingya Muslims in the town of Tambro on the Myanmar-Bangladesh border, under talks between the two countries to repatriate refugees from Bangladesh.
About 100 houses remained in the village out of 400 after the burning of the village earlier in the military campaign launched by government forces last August, the Arakan news agency reported.
The video footage obtained by the agency showed high columns of fire from the site and residents expect the fire to catch on the rest of the houses in the village.
Muslim accuse Buddhists extremists of fomenting the fire in cooperation with local authorities, which in many cases have been involved in such incidents.
