The Malaysian Ministry of Health is preparing to provide its medical services and expertise to Rohingya refugees displaced from Arakan, western Myanmar (formerly Burma), in Kutubpalong camps in Coxs-Bazar, Bangladesh, according to its Minister Dr.
Subramaniam Sathasivam.

He added that his ministry was still waiting for the authorities of that country to be able to provide assistance with the medical staff and specialists who are fully prepared for this task.

He said a hospital would be built there and would help Ministry of Health staff provide treatment.

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahid Hamidi announced the construction of the 3.5 million Malaysian ringgit hospital in Cox-Bazar during his visit to the refugee camps in Kutubpalong.
