Myanmar Minister for Religious Affairs, warned the “Ma Ba Tha”, of the consequences of fueling hatred against Muslims, directed the movement accused of hatred of other religions, the first official criticism at this level.
And Witrahu one of the most prominent figure in the movement, described on Wednesday, the leader of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi as “Dictator”, saying that the government wants to destroy the Buddhists movement.
The new minister for Religious Affairs Soe Min said “Persons who promote hatred.” Also said that the future of “Ma Ba Tha” “can be promoted if they contain the hate speech, which they use in order to cause the outbreak of conflicts between religions,” adding that “the government is seeking to ensure stability.”
This is the first warning of its kind to be issued by the Minister in the new government, which was formed in April, led by Suu Kyi.
Since the opening up of the country in 2011, increasing the presence of a radical movement which sees itself as an observatory against the threat of Islamization of Myanmar where Muslims constitute less than 5%.
