The demonstration was held for Rohingya minority Muslims native of Myanmar.
In their speech, they asked the Government of Indonesia and the US to immediately halt crimes against humanity and violations of Human Rights to the ethnic.

Riki A Panyalai action coordinator said, the Rohingya have been massacred and forced out of Arakan, Myanmar in an inhuman manner, their houses were burned, raped women, and children were killed.

“This condition makes Rohingya forced to save themselves by using old boats and crossed into neighboring countries such as Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia,” said Riki.

Human rights violations continue to take place, said Riki, suffering of Rohingya is not over and it has escalated to a more alarming state. They also live below the poverty line. “In neighboring countries they are evicting them and forcing them to live on boats for weeks, hundreds of people died. A few days ago, about 500 people were found stranded on the beach in Aceh,” he said.

The protest was held in cooperation with ARU and GRC to protest the recent mass graves discovery of rohingya.
