Former Lebanese Internal Security Forces chief Major-General Ashraf Rifi denounced what is happening against the Rohingya Muslims from massacres in exchange for international silence.
“The international silence on what is being inflicted on the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar is shameful and establishes the basis for legislation against crimes against humanity,” he said “Silence means agreeing to exterminate an entire people.”
He added: “We call upon liberals in the Arab and Islamic worlds and the world to move to stop the massacre,” pointing out that “the international and Islamic authorities initiative and assume its responsibilities to stop the genocide.”
