Zita TV, a digital platform broadcasting Rohingya social and cultural content on social media, released on Friday the first-ever Rohingya music video entirely produced using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

The music video, titled “My Beloved Father” (Adoror Baap), is a tribute to Rohingya fathers in refugee camps and across the diaspora. It aims to honor fatherhood while spreading hope and uplifting the spirit of the Rohingya refugee community.

The song was written and performed by Rohingya singer Bilal Saleh, while the directing and editing were handled by Anas Khalil, who told Arakan News Agency that “AI technology enabled us to tell this story with visual tools that would be impossible to access under the difficult conditions in the overcrowded camps of Bangladesh.”

The AI-generated video clip features scenes portraying tender moments between fathers and their children, set in environments that simulate the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Salim Noor, general supervisor of Zita TV, told Arakan News Agency that the song carries a message of hope, proving that “family and cultural bonds can endure despite the harshness of displacement.” He encouraged audiences to share the video using the hashtag #AdororBaap, the Rohingya title meaning “My Beloved Father” in Arabic.

The music video “My Beloved Father” is now available on all of Zita’s social media accounts. The platform aims to produce similar works to reach a wider audience and highlight Rohingya issues on a global scale.

According to Zita’s team, the platform plans to further integrate AI technologies into its productions, creating more artistic and cultural content that documents Rohingya heritage and highlights success stories within the diaspora.

Launched in March 2022 by a group of Rohingya activists and media professionals, Zita TV creates and broadcasts video content that highlights resilience and success stories, instills hope in the community, and offers educational materials on Islamic values, as well as meaningful entertainment. The platform has over 170,000 followers on Facebook, 32,000 subscribers on YouTube, and a growing presence on TikTok.
