A Rohingya Muslim and also a village official in Buthidaung, Arakan, was killed by a group of men two days after meeting with a delegation of journalists sent by the Myanmar government to the state to investigate the effects of the military and police campaign in the state.
Hamidullah, 46, from Tin Mayo village in Buthidaung, local sources said he was sleeping at home on Friday night when unknown men entered and killed him.
