Increased anxiety and fear in Rohingya refugees in the city of Jammu, Indian Kashmir over calls by the main political parties, including the ruling party the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata in India, for their expulsion and deportation.

Political parties have been in the country demanding to immediately make these refugees in makeshift camps leave from the city and said that this is due to national and cultural reasons for the preservation of the history, culture and identity.
Mohammed Sadiq,, a Rohingya refugee said that he arrived in Jammu several years ago: “There is a deep sense of insecurity among each and every one of us ever since we saw these paintings.”
“We are not here by our own free will, but we are here to stay and so we can live without fear of persecution or worse.”
Ramesh Arora of the Bharatiya Janata Party told to press: “These immigrants have entered our territory illegally and are staying here illegally and should be deported to their countries of origin as soon as possible because the state constitution does not allow them to stay in any part of Jammu and Kashmir. ”

According to figures from the Immigration Office, nearly 10,600 Rohingya refugees live in India, of whom 6700 in Jammu.
