Director General of ARU stresses the importance of Rohingya rights with the return of refugees

The Director General of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU), Professor Wakaruddin bin Masihuddin, stressed the importance of restoring the rights of the Rohingya Muslims and returning them to their homes in the state of Arakan and expediting it.
He was speaking at a UN meeting in New York last Thursday, during which he made a visual presentation of the usurped rights of Rohingya Muslims.
He called on the United Nations to expedite the repatriation, resettlement and rehabilitation of refugees and displaced persons, noting the increasing humanitarian needs in the camps in Bangladesh and Myanmar, and the urgent need for international relief groups to reach Maungdaw, Buthidaung, Rathidaung and many other towns.
He stressed the importance of involving UNHCR and other international agencies / non-governmental organizations in the repatriation process and the forthcoming visit of the Security Council to Bangladesh and Myanmar.
During the meeting, he also presented many important topics.
