Rohingya locals complains from Murau of Southern Maungdaw City that police are subjecting those who pass by in front of its headquarters and force them to give up whatever in their hands or their pockets agency correspondent reported, adding that dozens of bystanders being subjected to daily harassment and provocations in order to rob their possession.

A young Rohingya man of the town (the agency retains its name), said “police detained me for no reason and asked me to pay 50 thousand in order to let me go but as I said, I do not have such amount, they ask me to give up whatever was in my pockets”.
