Arakan News Agency
A Rohingya woman from Hanshurata (Alay Than Kyaw) village in Arakan province has appealed to Muslims and the world to intervene to stop the ongoing aggression against the Rohingyas by Myanmar security forces.
The woman reported through a recorded voice clip to the agency that many of the men were deprived of fear of being killed and assaulted by members of the security forces; dozens of women and children were trapped inside their homes in a state of anticipation and fear of being subjected to arbitrary before the troops at any moment.
On the other hand, a video was send to the agency via its correspondent south of the city of Maungdaw, showing the Rohingya villages are burning after the security forces set fire to the houses of the Rohingya and though there is no information on number of deaths or casualties may have occur so far.
The Myanmar authorities have announced this morning they killed 59 Rohingya following armed clashes between the parties.
This comes after former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan handed over Aung Sang Suu Kyi a copy of the report of the Commission, which had earlier visited the inspection in the state of Arakan, where the Committee called in its report to reduce the use of excessive violence against Rohingya by the authorities and grants Including their right to citizenship.
