Several Islamic organizations in Myanmar revealed the increasing frequency of incitement by Buddhist monks against everything related to Islam and Muslims. Which is a source of concern for their countries and their peoples.

Many Islamic organizations in Myanmar said they were making great efforts to explain these racist practices towards Muslims in a move to bring religions together and stop campaigns against them.

In Sri Lanka, a number of Buddhists burned a mosque and a shop belonging to a Muslim resident. The Sri Lankan authorities arrested four monks accused of fomenting sectarian strife between Muslims and Buddhists through the attacks. Arakan News Agency sources said the extremist group in Sri Lanka had close ties to the Buddhist “Bin Laden of Burma” who caused genocide of the Rohingya minority in western Myanmar because of his constant incitement and his calls for violence against the Rohingya.

It is worth mentioning that spreading hatred against Muslims in Myanmar is a matter of concern to Muslims in light of calls to expel and harass Muslims, which is criminalized by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and also may lead to further violations of human rights in countries controlled by these extremist Buddhist groups.
