Buddhist officer arrested Rohingya elder in his fifties from inside his house with a very brutal manner in the village south Maungdaw City as a reporter of ANA said, adding that the officer had tortured the man brutally for long hours; His family paid about 300 thousand Kyat Burmese to the officer in exchange for his release. And the reporter added that the reason for the arrest is due to the refusal of paying for officer’s motorcycle by the old Rohingya man two days ago, when he refused to pay the officer has tracked down the man after two days took his revenge on him.

It is noteworthy that financial blackmail incidents against Rohingyas happens almost on daily basis.
