Buddhist anti-Muslim group criticized former Secretary General of the United Nations Dr. Kofi Annan, in its publications on the social networking sites.
The Ma Ba Tha, led by Buddhist monks said Annan is helping to incite violence in the region, which has left hundreds of Muslims dead in 2012, according to news agency “Associated Press” last Tuesday.
The Myanmar government announced recently that Annan will chair an advisory committee aimed at finding “durable solutions” to the conflict in Arakan State, where human rights groups have documented widespread abuses against the minority Muslims Rohingya.
The group described Annan is a funny person and incapable of solving issues in Myanmar, arguing that Annan is “Kalar”, derogatory term used in Myanmar against Muslims and Indians.
