Abdulaziz bin Mirdah director of Hayat Foundation conveys the suffering of Rohingya refugees from inside the prison on the island of Palawan, which is near Indonesian’s Sumatra.
Bin Mirdah revealed the poor condition of the Rohingya prisoners who were detained since 2012 after fleeing massacres in Burma.
Bin Mirdah described conditions of Rohingya refugees as very bad in overcrowded detention center, which contains more than 400 people from different nationalities consist of men, women and young at the same time when the limit of detainees to accommodate is only 100 people.
Bin Mirdah said after speaking to the refugee agency they expressed great pleasure and happiness of this visit also expressed their surprise at the same time.
He praised on the role of the Indonesian government to contain some of the refugees by provision of food and medicines to them, also adding that they were a sensitive side
It is noteworthy that Bin Mirdah and his great efforts in the relief of the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, Thailand and India, where he helps them through medicine, food aid and other institution to rehabilitate their situation.
