Myanmar ‘Callous’ Toward Anti-Rohingya Violence, U.N. Says

Myanmar Security forces carried out raids and arbitrary incursions campaign against Rohingya homes in a number of neighborhoods of north Maungdaw city of Arakan state, and continued to campaign for seven hours since seven in the morning until noon the agency correspondent said, adding that more than thirty members of various Myanmar forces were present during the campaign, assaulting women and attempting to rape them, while touching sensitive parts of their bodies also looting property from inside the houses and the confiscation of livestock.

And the reporter further added that troops broke into mosques during the campaign and had urinated inside and tearing up the Holy Quran and tampering with the contents inside the mosques; in order to provoke the religious feelings of the Rohingya people.

It is noteworthy that the Myanmar authorities have stepped up violence against Rohingya again since a week ago and imposed a curfew in many areas where Rohingyas resides but the Buddhist populations are not included in the bans.
