Myanmar police arrested two young Rohingya men (Agency retain their names) from the town of Merullah southern city of Maungdaw in Arakan State with fabricated charges according to the correspondent of the agency.
The correspondent added that the police tortured two young men for several hours before releasing them in exchange of 10 thousand Myanmar Kyat.
On the other hand, police arrested three Rohingyas from inside their homes in the town of Goduthara, Maungdaw on fabricated charges of using Bangladeshi mobile sims at homes after subjected to inspection. The correspondent reported that the police forced the three detainees to pay seven thousand kyat before the release.
