Arrived on Sunday morning the members of the Committee set up by the Myanmar government to investigate the events in Arakan State, led by former military member also blacklisted U Myint Swe as the Committee Chairman.
The locations where the security posts were attacked on October 9, and conducted interviews with eyewitnesses and villagers.
According to the newspaper Mizzima, the Commission will submit its proposals to the president’s office at the beginning of February next year, or two months from now.
It should be noted that this Committee is separate from the advisory committee set up by the government of the state of Arakan, which is chaired by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
