Myanmar National Security Adviser: Rohingya can return but the process must be discussed

Myanmar’s national security adviser Thaung Tun told Reuters on Monday that the Rohingya Muslims who fled to neighboring Bangladesh to escape violence in Arakan state would be able to return but the process would have to be discussed.
“We will make sure that all those who have left their homes can return, but we have to consider this process,” he said after a cabinet meeting on the crisis hosted by British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
“We want to make sure that everyone who needs humanitarian assistance gets it without discrimination. This is one of the things we agreed upon. “
