Correspondents of Arakan news agency reported that the Myanmar army raided the village “Hansorata” Maungdaw in the northern Arakan State, on Monday morning, and molested Rohingya women and attacked children with beatings and torture.
The correspondent said that the army were deployed to the village but did not find anyone except only women and children in the home, grabbing as many children and women as they can to harass.
An eyewitness told that the army fired bullets in the air caused panic and fear among women who have fled from their homes immediately after hearing the gunfire, noting the army supported by Buddhist extremists who then looted belongings from Rohingya homes then carried out by trucks on several batches.
The Rohingya minority in Arakan is the most persecuted minority in the world according to the United Nations.
